ABOUT US

Enugu Coalition of Business and Professional Associations (ECOBPA) started in July 2008 as Enugu Business Forum (EBF), a loose association of professional and business associations.
It was an initiative of the leadership of the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA), and based on the need to have a common platform for business and professional associations to articulate and pursue common business issues and agenda to improve the business environment in Enugu State.

MEMBERSHIP REGULATIONS

Political Activism

Leaders of the ECOBPA shall not be active members of political parties such as holding a leadership position in a political part

Members will not use the Coalition as a political platform.

Political Neutrality

The Business Coalition shall maintain political neutrality at all times.

Political Party Funding

The Business Coalition shall not fund any Political Party or individual politician

Gender Equity

In all its programs and activities, the Business Coalition strives for gender equity and equality

Protection of the Environment

A well-kept environment is the best gift the present generation can give to the next generations and as such, the Business Coalition shall endeavour to protect the environment at all times.

Self-weakening of the Coalition

The Business Coalition shall not allow any of its members to hold bilateral Advocacy meetings on behalf of the Coalition or consultative meetings with the State Authorities or any other stakeholders without the knowledge and consent of other Coalition partner.

Representations of members’ views

Business Coalition leaders shall avoid, at all times, the temptation of pushing their own representative positions.
